Yo soy libre.
I am free.
No matter the language spoken, there is beautiful truth here. Because of Christ’s sacrifice, we are truly free from our sin and our past. Galatians 5:1 says, “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” To be free from sin and death is cause for rejoicing!
Today we had the opportunity to worship alongside brothers and sisters in Christ at Ministerios Alfa y Omega. Justin and I didn’t understand all of the words spoken or sung, but the Holy Spirit spoke still. Worship is not defined by a language. It is not definied by style or denomination. Worship is about the heart.
We got to taste a little bit of Heaven this morning. When those of us who have surrendered our lives to God and accepted His free gift of salvation enter Glory, language won’t matter. Color won’t matter. Denominations won’t matter. Whether we like hymns or Hillsong won’t matter. Our hearts will be so overjoyed to be in the presence of God that we will worship as one.
May we allow such worship this side of Heaven too.
